Insurance FAQ

What does it mean to be in network?

If you have one of the above insurance carriers therapy sessions will be billed through your health insurance.

Does my insurance cover telehealth services?

Many insurance providers have continued to pay for telehealth services since 2020. It is the client’s responsibility to contact their insurance provider to inquire if these services are covered. Clients can contact their insurance company via the number of the back of their insurance card.

Will I owe anything at the time of the session?

Many insurance policies require the client to pay a co-pay, co-insurance, or may have a deductible. This amount varies on a case-by-case basis. Prior to starting treatment, our staff will verify your insurance coverage and let you know what your estimated out of pocket cost will be. Each client is responsible for understanding their personal insurance benefits. If you are unsure whether or not you have coverage, we encourage you to contact your insurance via the number on the back of your insurance card.

Clients are responsible for notifying their clinician immediately if they become aware of any changes in insurance coverage, termination of coverage, or lapse in coverage. Any expenses that occur due to the above that may not be covered by insurance will be the responsibility of the client.

What if I do not have one of the above-mentioned insurance providers?

No problem! We welcome self-pay clients (those who do not have insurance, or do not wish to use insurance).  In this scenario, clients pay up front for the cost of their sessions. Some insurance providers offer out-of-network benefits. We are happy to provide a super bill for clients to submit to their insurance providers in the case of having out of network coverage. To determine whether your policy offers out of network coverage you should contact your insurance company via the number of the back of your card.
